About Katriina
Katriina is a kimono-style robe with wide, softly falling sleeves and practical side-seam pockets. Sew it in silk, viscose or cotton sateen for a light dressing gown, in linen for a breathable bathrobe, or in waffle cotton or terry for something warm on dark autumn mornings.
Choose the short or long hem and the sleeve length that suits you. With long sleeves it works as a light layer over a summer evening outfit.

Questions
What exactly do I get when I buy a pattern?
A PDF download sent to your email the moment you pay. It contains the pattern in all sizes as A4 pages to print at home and tape together, plus the same pattern as a single A0 file for a copy shop. You also get the illustrated sewing instructions, the size chart, fabric suggestions and the fabric requirements table. It's yours to keep and print as many times as you like.
I have never sewn before. Can I really do this?
Yes, if you can sew a straight line on a sewing machine, or are willing to learn. Our patterns avoid zips and fiddly fastenings wherever possible, and every step is photographed. If you'd like company, choose the pattern + course option: short videos walk you through each stage from buying fabric to the final hem.
How do I print the A4 pages?
Print at 100% scale (not 'fit to page'), then measure the test square on the first page to check. Trim or overlap the margins as shown in the instructions and tape the pages together in order. It takes 10–20 minutes. Or send the A0 file to any print or copy shop and skip the taping.
I'm in the US. Will the pages print on Letter paper?
The print-at-home file is laid out on A4. Letter is slightly shorter, so print at 100% and check that the full tile prints; if your printer clips the edge, ask the copy shop to print the A0 file instead, or set your printer to use the larger margin area. We are preparing Letter-size versions and will add them to existing downloads when ready.
Which size should I sew?
Measure yourself and compare to the body measurements on our size guide, not to the size you buy in shops. Our women's patterns are drafted in EU sizes 34–52 (US 2–20, UK 6–24). Children's patterns are sized by height in centimetres, with approximate ages as a guide. When in doubt on a relaxed style, go by the bust measurement.
